Royalist Alliance of Mithros
Truth, Honor, Loyalty.
— Royalist Alliance motto
The Royalist Alliance of Mithros, often abbreviated as RAM, or simplified to 'the Royalists' or 'the Alliance', is a faction formed from the remnants of the Kingdom of Mithros' supporters. They adhere to the rights of dynastic succession of the descendants of the Drech Dynasty, which was overthrown in the Coalition coup of Cania with the assassination of Archon Drech XI in 10088 DC. As over half of Cania, the former capital of the Kingdom, was lost to other factions such as the Coalition and the Singular Order, the seat of the throne was moved to Drakeport, with Queen Siria Drech II, Archon XI's surviving heir, occupying the throne under the supervision of a regent appointed by RAM High Command.
As a geopolitical state entity, the Alliance is called the New Kingdom of West Mithros.
Territories
Despite the fall of the Kingdom, the Royalists maintain a hold on a number of key locations, both on Mithros itself as well as the Kingdom's former colonies.
Dragontail Peninsula
Drakeport is currently home to the bulk of the Royalists' leadership, and as such, it also serves as the seat of the throne. It is a large city with a strong economy, which helps keep the Royalists' coffers at reasonable levels despite the massive loss of territory in the Coalition coup. Slightly to the southwest, the rich mining city of Medellus is a key resource hub.
Royalist Quarter of Cania
The Alliance retains control of about 25% of Cania's area, including the old manor district and the Plaza of Primordials.
Northranges
While the city of Whitehaven was lost to the Singular Order, the Alliance retains a strong hold on what remains of the Northranges region, with the city of Winterpoint being the Royalist base of operations in the north of Mithros. In addition, the city of Ivory Gorge houses SIGMA, the most prestigious of the Alliance's remaining military academies.
Stormark
Stormark is the sole colony in Frysgard remaining under Royalist rule. Its proximity to Winterpoint has helped keeping it supplied to fend off Coalition expansion into its territory.
Structure
Noble Houses
The noble houses of Mithros remain the backbone of the Alliance's government. They are as follows:
House Caimir | House Drech | House Harrow | House Ressh | House Torak
Subsidiary organizations
- AMASS - the Ariane Maes Auratic Studies Society
- CATAN - Colonial And Trading Authority Network
- RIO - Royal Intelligence Office
- RAMP - Royalist Alliance Military Police
- SIGMA - South Ivory Gorge Military Academy
Military
The military arm of the RAM is synonymous with the faction itself, effectively making the Alliance a stratocracy under a monarch.
Organizational rank structure
The RAM High Command is a council manned by the sitting monarch of Mithros, the heads of each of the other noble houses, and the heads of each of Alliance's subsidiary organizations.
The Garrison & Deployment Command of the RAM military is in charge of the distribution of its manpower and other resources, and supervises all of the Alliance's military formations aside from special forces under the direct command of High Command.
The various military formations are at the next tier under the Garrison & Deployment Command.
