The Coalition

The Coalition, formerly known as the Coalition of Mithrosi Trade Associations is a faction merged from several megacorporations that holds legislative and executive authority over a large portion of the continent of Mithros, after having consolidated their power, reorganized dramatically, and wrested control from the Kingdom of Mithros in the Coalition coup of Cania.

As a geopolitical state entity, it is called the Commerce State of East Mithros.

Structure

The Coalition's hierarchy is divided into several departments, each in charge of a facet of its operations. They're identified with a tertiary (in most cases) color code in a given member's uniform, in addition to the default black primary and dark gray secondary colors.

History

Origins and evolution

The Coalition is a descendant of the various trade guilds of Mithros, of which many date back to as far as the Kingdom of Sylava in the late Draconic Era. As the guilds grew in influence to rival the kingdoms of the continent in the Mithril Era, it is said that the foundations for a 'deep state' within the Free Dracon States were laid. The Union of Guilds was established as a direct response to the consolidation of the Free Dracon States into the Kingdom of Mithros in 7048 DC.

The Union of Guilds was restructured into the Coalition of Mithrosi Trade Associations in 9247, a few years after the Mithrosi Unification Campaign's conclusion in 9244.

Rise of the military-industrial complex

The shift of focus since its restructuring would see the Coalition increase its investments into the production of military hardware and the establishment of a number of mercenary companies, which would be deployed into the Kingdom's colonies in Frysgard and the Mahogany Isles, as well as offer their services on multiple sides in the various conflicts in almost every corner of the continent of Dunieth.
