Coalition Infantry Corps

The Coalition Infantry Corps is the largest component of the Coalition Military Department, consisting of every soldier under the Coalition trained in an infantry role along with the support personnel required for it to function. It consists of various, mostly localized regiments.

Overview

Personnel

Light Infantry

The standard unit of the CIC is the Light Infantry. Their standard issue as of 10110 DC is the KHI-RN45 Assault Rifle and the KHI-PS15 Handgun. They also wear the standard variant of the KHI-SB08 Personal Body Protection armor unless put in a more specialized role.

Heavy Infantry

The Heavy Infantry of the CIC are a more diverse unit type that tend towards specializing for particular purposes, and the loadout varies greatly by unit. Some units are heavier versions of standard rifle troops, others may deploy in powered armor capable of sustaining considerable firepower and holding heavy weapons that are otherwise not considered man-portable such as the RE-LUA-2 Rail Cannon.

Shock Troops

The CIC Shock Troops are an informal distinction reserved for hyper-specialized units that are considered unconventional, sometimes even experimental, in some way. The best known example are the Dragon-blooded Shock Troopers first deployed at the palace assault of the Coalition coup of Cania.

Transport

The CIC relies on the other branches (the Coalition Mechanized Corps, Coalition Navy, and the Coalition Air Force) to provide mass transport, but on the field, most transport is handled by the CIC's own all-terrain cars and APC type vehicles.
