Frysgard

Frysgard (Gardic for frost-garden) is a continent wholly within Zairis' northern hemisphere and is thought to cover the north pole of the planet. It is bordered on the south by the Wintersea, which separates Frysgard from Mithros.

The vast majority of its population is composed of Fenrans, in particular frost Fenrans, most of which belong to the Gardic Civilization and the Nordguard, though colonial collaborators and the Bloodmaw Clan are also prominent factions. North of most permanent settlements, the nomadic Fenrans clans still roam the tundra, and still further north, small clans of Nanuk live off the inhispitable land. In addition, there is a sizeable population of arctic vulpines and snow kobolds. It has the lowest population density of the major continents of Zairis.

Geography

The geography of Frysgard consists of various cold-temperature biomes, most notably the black sand beaches, tundras, and pine forests of the of the Sydstrand Coast, the perpetually snow-covered Nordheim Mountains, and the impassable megaglacier of the uninhabitable northern edge of the mapped portion of Frysgard, called Glasjer. Frysgard has a single known active volcano, called Mount Helgatt, which is situated in the Nordheim Mountains.
