Fenran
Fenrans are a humanoid species resembling wolves in appearance. They take their name from their chief deity, Fenrir, who had a hand in guiding and protecting the Gardic Civilization, the Frysgard culture of Fenrans, for millenia until his departure from Zairis in 7440 DC.

History
Loup's exodus
Fenrans are descended from the People of Loup, the second group of Miacids that committed to a mass exodus to Dunieth from the Vul Empire in the Pre-Draconic Era after the Followers of Fel did the same thing about 1800 years prior. They landed in the modern day Kyaww-catar lowlands, considerably further north than the Fel did, and for a long time, only ever interacted with the Kyaww-fel, who at the time were a group of nomadic steppe tribes.
The people of Loup settled all over the northern portion of the Kyaww-catar lowlands, but only a few would venture further beyond, to the mountainous highlands or the Nethron peninsula to the east, creating a distinction between Loup Highlanders, and Loup Lowlanders, whose distinction would eventually become that of frost Fenrans and gray Fenrans, respectively. This settling did not last long, as the lowlanders were eventually forced by the Kyaww-fel, who were going through a population boom, to move further north or east.
Fenrir's exodus
The people of Loup had a new crisis on their hands with the Kyaww-fel's eventual encroach into even the highlands, and at the end of their rope, Fenrir, the king of the largest petty kingdom of the Loup Highlanders, proposed a new exodus, this time to the north. However, without ships or enough wood to build them, Fenrir, a highly accomplished Ice Elementalist, was forced to convince his people to cross the Wintersea on an ice bridge of his own making. Despite the protests of several groups, most of his people eventually made the journey, and as his task was complete, he was deified by his followers, ascending to memetic deity status.
The isolation of Nethron
Meanwhile, the Loup Lowlanders who fled east fortified their position, and since the only land route into the peninsula from the south was through a singular easily defended mountain pass, the Kyaww-fel never broke through. This contributed to the formation of Old Nethron, the first incarnation of the culture that would eventually become current-day Nethron.
