Morik
Morik the Warforger, also referred to as The Lone Wolf or Lord of Steel, is a Primordial deity whose domain lies in fostering conflict and the art of war-craft among the peoples of Zairis. He is the patron deity of Nethron, but remains a controversial deity elsewhere in the world.
Appearance
Morik has taken on many guises throughout the history of Zairis, but the one consistency between all his depictions is the appearance of a warrior wearing a full-face mask or helm made of steel. As of the Imperial Era, he most often appears as a Gray Fenran.
History
Creation of Zairis and Ardothun's demise
Morik did not directly contribute to the creation of Zairis, and is the only Primordial aside from Abraxas to do so. Instead, he pledged to protect it from outside forces. In addition, following Ardothun's unforeseen demise, he accused Abraxas of the murder, imprisoned him, and took over Ardothun's duties in maintaining the Cloudguard, as it was agreed on by the remaining Primordials that the Shards of Ardothun could not be trusted to continue their predecessor's work to an adequate standard.
Rift in the Cloudguard
As the Dragonflights matured, Morik took an interest in Kritü, the Iron Shard of Ardothun, approving of the Iron Dragonflight's militant leanings and aptitude for war-craft. He resolved to test Kritü's might in a way that would not attract the attention of other deities protecting lands close to Iron Dragonflight territory. He opened a rift in the Cloudguard in order to let a fleet of spacecraft from outside pass through unharmed, which would otherwise have collided with the Cloudguard and been completely destroyed. Instead, the fleet scattered in a much wider area than Morik anticipated for his trial, and as most of the fleet ended up far from Iron Dragonflight territory, Morik quietly closed the rift and canceled the trial. The survivors of this fleet ended up settling in Zairis and became known as the human race of civilized peoples.
New Nethron
Since the seccession of Nethron from the Kyaww-catar Kingdom prior to its conquest by the Nikosian Empire in 7951 DC, Morik has been taking an interest in guiding its development into what he deems an ideal society. This has resulted in it having been locked into a seemingly eternal war with its neighbor since around 8900.
