Viridian Circle

The Viridian Circle is a druidic order devoted to the worship of the Primordial deity Iris and protection of her domain. They are based around the Overgrown Henge, a fortified ritual site in the Viridian Vale, a valley in the center of Mithros that is sacred to Iris.

Structure

The uppermost tier of the Circle's leadership, answering directly to Iris herself are called Consorts of Iris. Historically, thee positions were those literal consorts, but later, a significant number of them are consorts in name only. Viriz, the Green Shard of Ardothun is the foremost of them, and holds command over both the Green Dragonflight and the Emerald Clan of rock kobolds. Typically, one of these Consort would be entrusted with wielding the Prismatic Crescent, a sacred weapon imbued with a part of Iris' divine essence, though it is currently under safekeeping since the demise of the last wielder.

Temples of Iris

There are various places of worship dedicated by Iris and maintained by the Circle in most major cities and towns of Mithros. Where permitted by local authorities, these are large structures typically erected in the middle of parks, and grown, not built. The builders of these temples are a specialized class of druids within the Circle whose expertise lies in expedited growing of sturdy trees. These temples' growth is directed precisely as to either integrate into, or not interfere with existing infrastructure.
