Avatar

Avatars are constructs of divine essence that deities use for interacting with the world on a mortal level. They are usually on scale wiht the civilized races for easy relaying of messages such as by appearing to priests of their religion, or to assist with tasks that would normally be beyond their followers.

Known uses

• Abraxas uses an avatar to periodically stealing new souls to corrupt into demons from Endacil's Labyrinth Cycle.

• Iris never leaves Irididendros personally but she has various avatars who wander the world or appear in her temples.

• Avatars of Morik have historically appeared to fight for military leaders who appease him, sometimes on multiple sides in a conflict. The last confirmed instance of an avatar of Morik appearing in a battle was on the side of the Kingdom of Mithros during the final assault on the Blakewing Citadel in the Mithrosi Unification War in 9244 DC, where Morik's avatar single-handedly slaughtered a hundred Chiropteran defenders who had sortied forth in a desperate last stand.

• Randegosa has an avatar who is charged with eternally watching over the Blue Council of the Aquantis Dominion.
