Blakewing Citadel
Blakewing Citadel is the ruined capital of the formerly great power of the Chiropteran Realm. It is situated atop a large hill in the center of the Blackwood region.
History
Initial settlement
The site of the Blakewing Citadel was originally settled long before the rise of the Vul Empire, by one of the first factions of Miacids to strike out from Viridian Vale to explore the world beyond. At that time, it was a picturesque hill with a view of the whole forest before its transformation in the Mithril Era. Its name from that time has been lost to history.
Fall into ruin
After having been sacked at the tail end of the Mithrosi Unification Campaign, the survivors fled and were hunted to extinction. Since then, it has mostly been abandoned, though it's also known to have been inhabited by various unsavory types like necromancers, demonologists, and such across the ages, according to bounty hunters who tracked their targets there.
Resettlement
Since the fall of the Kingdom of Mithros in 10088 DC, the Chiropteran Archduchy has set its gargoyle workforce the task of rebuilding the citadel, with the eventual goal of repopulating it with a new, living Chiropteran population.
