Aquantis Dominion

The Aquantis Dominion, formal national name Theodiarchic Dominion of Aquantis is a faction that rules the seas of Zairis, with the heart of its power situated in the Aquantean Archipelago in the Aquantean Ocean. It was founded and is ruled to this day by the Primordial Randegosa the Leviathan. It is notable for being the only underseas faction that is a major player in global politics, as well as the oldest continuously surviving civilization in Zairis.

Government

The Aquantis Dominion is a constitutional ditheocracy, with Randegosa and her partner deity Sera Dagon, the Blue Shard of Ardothun acting as heads of state over the Blue Council, a bicameral, partially elected parliament that promotes the interests of the Blue Dragonflight and the general aquatic dracon population.

Demographics

About 60% of the permanent residents are aquatic dracons, 35% are blue dragon, and 5% are of other races.

History

Founding

The site of Aquantis was settled by the Blue Dragonflight around 500 DC under the leadership of Sera Dagon, according to Randegosa's instructions. Randegosa had shaped the region with the intention of making it the center of her chosen people's empire that would eventually become the Aquantis Dominion.
