Ka'aras Sovereignty

The Ka'aras Sovereignty is the nation-state that encompasses the region of Ka'aras. It is bordered on the south by the Underdeep Blightlands, the north-west by the Aquantean Ocean, and the north-east by the Zauana and Darkfallow provinces of the Nikosian Empire. Its capital is Ka'aras City and other settlements of note are Ruby and Ska-rui.

Settlements

Nearly all of the Ka'aras Sovereignty's major settlements are located by the Rhuxai River, including its three largest cities - Ka'aras City, located by its mouth where it meets the Aurora Ocean, Ska-rui, nestled within the highly defensible Ska-rui Valley, which the Rhuxai runs through, and Ruby, situated by the large quarries in the mountainous region bordering with the Darkfallow province of the Nikosian Empire.

Aside from the Rhuxai River, most other settlements in the Sovereignty are mostly concentrated by the northern coast and the larger oases found in the Ka'aran desert. The largest such settlement is the large town of Misra, situated by an oasis towards the central north of the desert.

Government

The Ka'aras Sovereignty is a representative democracy and a republic with a president serving as head of state, a prime minister as head of government, headed by an elected parliament organization known as the Ka'aran Senate, which holds both legislative and executive authority.

The Ka'aran Senate consists of 183 seats. The parties forming the majority as of 10110 DC are the Social Agrarian Party, the Restoration Party of Ka'aras, and the Workers' Movement.

Economy

The nation controls the largest known reserves of oil in Zairis, the export of which forms the backbone of its economy. Its oil industry is nationalized and overseen by a governing body under the ministry of finance called the Ka'aras Petroleum Industry Authority.

The official currency of the Ka'aras Sovereignty is the Ka'aran Jade Shard (ड, KJS).

Culture

The official language of the Ka'aras Sovereignty is the Sun's Tongue, which has been spoken in the region since it was settled by an offshoot of the Vul people in the Pre-Draconic Era.
