Fenran Faith

The Fenran Faith is the organized worship of the memetic deity Fenrir, the Champion-God of Frysgard and the Gardic Civilization. It is considered one of the pillars of the Gardic Civilization, to the point that one of the chieftains of the Five Great Clans always holds the office of Archpriest of Fenrir under the Nordguard. The current Archpriest as of 10110 DC is Gunnar Shatterhammer, chieftain of the Shatterhammer Clan.

History

The veneration of the mortal Fenrir began in 0 DC as he preached the necessity of an exodus form the modern day region of Kyaww-catar, citing the Kyaww-fel encroaching on already preciously scarce viable land. He claimed that he would lead his people across the Wintersea using Ice magic, which he managed with no fatalities. The resulting cult of veneration to him propelled him to godhood.

As Fenrir found himself with newfound divine power, a handful of leaders flocked around him, forming the first organized Fenran Faith cult and serving as the preachers of his word during the infancy of the Gardic Civilization.
