Whitemane Clan

The Whitemane Clan is the foremost of the Five Great Clans of Frysgard. It is also the oldest of the Great Clans, although an exact founding date is unknown to due to lack of records. Unlike the other Great Clans, the Whitemanes do not claim descent from one great hero of the pre-Gardic Civilization, instead claiming that Fenrir himself was a Whitemane prior to his ascension to godhood. In the interest of neutrality, Fenrir neither confirmed nor denied this claim.

The Whitemanes, as of 10110 DC, hold the greatest political position in the Nordguard, the mantle of High Chief. The position is held by the current chieftain of the Whitemane Clan, one Garun Whitemane.
