Lavender Glade
Lavender Glade is a town in the Blackwood region of Mithros notable for the fields of lavender flowers surrounding it, which are said by the locals to be the manifestation of a protection granted by a namelass Kami from the remnants of the demonic miasma lingering in the area, since the town is situated close to the epicenter of one of the major demonic invasions in Blackwood.
Population
The 400 permanent residents of the town are mostly night Fenrans and woodland vulpines. Most are either worshipers of the town's guardian Kami or members of the Blackwood Circle.
Government and infrastructure
While nominally under the control of the Chiropteran Archduchy, it is mostly self-governed by a small elected council with one representative from the Archduchy present, but major decisions are never made without consulting the caretaker-priests of the Ossuary Tower.
The center plaza of the town is dominated by an unfinished tower made out of special blocks of concrete, called the Ossuary Tower. As a stipulation for the protection of the town, the caretaker-priests of the Kami decreed that the inhabitants of Lavender Glade would not bury their dead, but instead encase their remains within hollow blocks of concrete, which are then added to the tower. As the tower grew taller, the fields of lavender grew wider, and the townspeople saw that as a sign of the Kami expanding their zone of protection.
