Crows' Landing

Crows' Landing is a minor port city in the Gray Marsh region of Mithros, best known for having been one of the major smuggling centers of the continent for centuries, although the Coalition has, in recent years, started cracking down on it indirectly via making its port take a more active role in intercontinental trading, as port security as been dramatically increased. Its population is 400,000. It is named for one of the most infamous syndicates of the region that has claimed it as its home, the Murder of Crows.

History

Crows' Landing has existed in many forms within the Gray Marsh as a safe haven for the outlaws of southern Mithros. The first recorded location of it was near the edge of the marshland where it meets the regional border with Smoke Bay, where it stood for several decades until being razed by local authorities in ca. 4500 DC. Similar settlements would pop up in various locations along the coast several times and would be invariably destroyed once found until its current location was promoted to the status of a proper township following the conquering of the Gray Marsh by the Chiropteran Realm in 8419.

As the Coalition has muscled in on business in Crows' Landing, the surface presence of the numerous local syndicates has dwindled, but their underground activity has increased.
