Tourmaline Clan

The Tourmaline Clan is the most powerful rock kobold clan, and of kobold clans overall, ranks as the second most influential after the Bronzecaster Clan of forge kobolds.

Hierarchy

The Tourmaline Clan is, like most other kobold clans that wield considerable power, led by a council of elders who dictate the direction of clan affairs to supervisors of their various assets who report directly to them.

Assets

The Tourmaline Clan owns a great deal of properties they have taken as reparations from their former masters, many of these assets include mines their ancestors toiled in in the Ascuphre Mountains or around Medellus. The Tourmaline Clan's true strength, however, lies in its vastly numerous labor force, with membership numbering at around two hundred thousand all across Zairis, greater than the the next two most populous kobold clans put together. The clan has leveraged this labor force by renting parts of it out to the highest bidders to work on some of the most labor intensive projects undertaken in the history of Zairis.

History

The Tourmaline Clan rose to prominence as it became the largest clan banner that rock kobolds united under, after the abolition of the institution of slavery in Mithros 10063 DC.
