Runecasting
Runecasting is a fringe discipline whose main draw is its bypassing of elemental restriction inherernt to the caster's Aura alignment. It was developed and is as of 10110 DC mostly practiced in Frysgard.
Runes
The main component to runecasting is, of course, the rune. A rune can be used in a variety of ways, for instance, by inscribing it on the caster's skin, their auratic focus, their clothing, etc. The key to 'runecasting' a spell is to possess a combination of runes that corresponds to that spell - e.g, the combination for Pyrokinesis1 is a number of Fiyr runes equal to the tier it is being cast at, plus one.
A runecaster can only effectively use so many runes at a time, starting at a single rune as a total beginnner. This number increases with skill, and masters of the discipline are rumored to be able to use hundreds at a time.
