Leograu Empire

The Leograu Empire was a regal feline dominated empire that comprised a large portion of the continent of Dunieth, being the geographical and cultural predecessor state to the Nikosian Empire. It was ruled by several dynasties of regal feline royal families, most recently the Nemeon Dynasty, since ca. 2500 DC, when the then-named Kingdom of Leograu conquered Zauana and was subsequently declared an empire, with Zauana being its first non-heartland province.

After the Nikosian Rebellion, a conflict spurred by malcontent urban felines and embraced by inhabitants of the conquered provinces unhappy with the state of things in 7850, the Empire was dissolved and its territories were reconstituted into the Nikosian Empire, downgrading the former heartland of Leograu into a province with no special status above the other provinces.
