Anat-en-zhi

Anat-en-zhi is the capital of the Jangara province of the Nikosian Empire. Located on the shores of Lake Anat, it boasts a population of 864,000, which makes it the second most populous city of the province (after Garabakhan), and sixth overall in the Empire.

History

Settlement

Anat-en-zhi was the first permanent settlement of a significant size to be founded in Jangara by the Followers of Fel in the Pre-Draconic Era. Throughout all of the recorded history on the city, it has gone by the name given to it in the Fel-tongue, which translates to "City-by-[lake]Anat".

Trade empire

Due to its central location in the Jangara region, as well as its easy access to Rhuxai Green, and by extension the rest of the Rhuxai and thus, Ka'aras, it became the region's primary trade hub fairly soon in its history. The primary exports from the city's main zone of influence were fish and pearls sourced from Lake Anat.
