Royal Guard

The Royalist Alliance's Royal Guard are the elite units responsible for the protection of the Monarch of Mithros and other important personages to the Alliance, such as high ranked nobles or members of the RAM High Command. As of 10110 DC, the Guard is 400 persons strong, using a revolving schedule of about 150 personnel in active duty at any time, with the rest serving with other Alliance branches or kept in reserve.

Recruitment

The Royal Guard recruits near-exclusively from other branches of the Alliance, requiring extensive prior experience with escorting VIPs.

Equipment

The Royal Guard are one of the best-equipped forces of the Alliance - each member is outfitted with heavy blastproof ballistic armor as well as a set of extravegantly decorated ceremonial plate armor, many bearing personalized decorations.
