The year is 10110 by the reckoning of the Draconic Calendar. In the last twenty-two years, the assassination of the monarch of the Kingdom of Mithros has left the continent in a perpetual state of war, though tensions have cooled as each of the factions vying for control of Mithros' most coveted resources have carved out their niche.

Zairis is a worldbuilding project that's been on-off in development since roughly around 2005. It's been kept in various forms across the years, including a physical binder, a series of Word documents, a Wiki-style site, and more, but ultimately I wanted to challenge myself in terms of web design and make something I can truly call my own in basically every aspect. This sacrifices some of the functionality of a Wiki style site that I've been using up until when I'm writing this (early 2022), but since the incident I ran into with that I've been considering this option and decided to run with it.
